To hotlink some text or a phrase, use the ‘chain link’ icon in the menu bar above the text edit window.

For example:

There is lots of climbing information on the Rockfax web site.

To hot link the words ‘Rockfax web site’, select them and click on the chain link icon.

This pops-up a small edit box. Write the web site URL in here and then click ‘Insert’. (Note: the complete URL is required including the ‘http://’ bit but this is already in the box so take care that you don’t duplicate it if you are cutting and pasting).

Now the sentence will read:

There is lots of climbing information on the Rockfax web site.

Using the second menu on the ‘Insert/edit link’ pop-up, you can decide whether you want the link to open in the same browser window, or a new browser window.
